.We are working on this family tree for over 30 years. Its founder is Ing. Vladimír Voldřich, about whom you will get more information in the chapter “interesting and important personalities of the family” within the section “About Us”.

Our family tree is very unique. It is established and created by the name. We collect information and create a database of all persons from all over the world who at any times ever wore the name, regardless of whether this name were a heritage by birth, gained through marriage or otherwise. Then, of course, woman born Voldřichová due to marriage and acceptance of their husbands name are no longer (after the marriage) included in the family tree.

In exceptional cases, we also file other names in our database. It is usually the case in situations, when woman born Voldřichová marries and her daughter, born with the name of the father, takes a husband of the name Voldřich.

We put the collected names together and create a tree. It seems that the vast majority of born Voldřichs, if not all of them, have their origin in a married couple Jan Voldřich and Marie Haklová. This couple lived in the first half of the 17th century in the village of Stachy na Šumavě, in the area of the Bohemian Forest. More information about this couple can be again found in the chapter in “interesting and important personalities of the family” within the section “About Us”.

Currently, our tree contains over 6600 people with the name Voldřich: coming from the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, USA, Canada, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary. Another roughly 800 people who we are not able to add and locate in a tree, we file in foreign countries (not just appointed by the above mentioned states, but also from Belgium, Poland or Mexico) and another 280 people in the country.

There are several reasons why we have published the family tree on this website. At the last meeting of Voldřichs majority of them welcomed the publication of these information. We would like to therefore provide all the information we have about our genealogy to those who are interested in it. However and above all, we would like to establish a relative’s network and gain more information through the cooperation with the widest circle of interested people who could help us with compiling and updating the family tree and contribute with their data. Of course is our website accessible to all other relatives, in the male and female tail, regardless of the name – if they are proven to be related.

It should be noted that the publication of this family tree we obey the laws on privacy and private personal information. Persons under the age of 100 years, we publish only through the initials of their given names. More or other information we do publish only upon their written consent.
